Thank you, Saginaw News!

The Saginaw News has lent their support to this Spring's Buena Save campaign with a nice article by Adam Bouton.  I've appreciated the coverage and editorial support that the Saginaw News has provided since the Buena Save project began.  The link below gets you to Adam's article via the Saginaw News portion of the M-Live news site.  When you're at the M-Live site, you can search on "Buena Save" to see all the coverage we've gotten in The News.

Educational Value!

Some of the Buena Save sign sets could be said to be "educational."  Well, um, three of them are located at schools in the Buena Vista district.  For instance, the signs at the Archer A. Claytor Center/Doerr Elementary complex express their message as a haiku, an elegant Japanese poetry style that limits the poet to just seventeen syllables.  (Sounds like an ancient forerunner of Twitter.)

Watch for these signs if you're heading east on Perkins Street, as you approach 25th.  Here's the message:   B V SENDS
                      GREETINGS TO YOU
                 BY WAY OF
                      THIS BRIEF
                 HAIKU
                       Buena Save

Remember to count the syllables in "Buena Save" to get up to seventeen!

WE'RE BAAAACK!

Buena Save signs returned to the Township's landscape this week.  Four sign sets have been installed on May 16 and 17.  I'm grateful to Mrs. Scott, Superintendent of the Buena Vista Township Schools, and to Dexter Mitchell, Director of Parks and Recreation, for their support.  More detail will be posted soon about the individual messages and sites.  Additional sign sets are in the works.
